The YWCA Hanover is looking for Part Time school-age staff for our licensed school-age program. We serve school-age children on site from kindergarten to sixth grade within two local school districts. The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 9:00 am and/or 2:00 pm-6:00 pm.

This position is working with school-age students in grades kindergarten thru sixth grade. Additional hours are available as needed when schools are closed or during the summer months. We offer FREE childcare for employees!

The candidate must be able to plan, implement and organize developmentally appropriate activities for children in kindergarten to sixth grade. Assist with school work as needed, observe and assess each student’s growth and development. Maintain a positive, healthy, and safe learning environment. Secure your summer job now! The YWCA of Hanover is looking for motivated summer camp counselors for Camp Phoenix for the summer of 2024. We are looking for fun and energetic staff to provide a fun active camp for our campers this summer. We run an active all-day summer camp for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade. Our hours of operation are 6:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday. We provide weekly field trips, swimming, and special activities all summer long. Full-time and part-time seasonal positions are available.

You MUST be available to work June 3rd-August 16th. Willingness to drive the school-age van is a plus!

The YWCA Hanover is currently looking for van drivers to drive our school-age kids. Vans are 10-passenger vans and are owned by the Hanover YWCA. During the school year, van drivers transport kids from kindergarten through sixth grade to and from school within the Hanover and Southwestern School District.

The hours during the school year would be approximately 7:00 am-8:45 am and again after school from approximately 2:00 pm-3:45 pm. Additional hours are available throughout the summer to help drive the summer camp kids to and from field trips.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Client Advocate provides direct services to victims/survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. YWCA Safe Home is a 501c (3) non-profit dedicated to empowering clients to achieve self-defined goals that will support their ability to obtain and maintain their personal safety and wellbeing. General duties include crisis intervention, legal advocacy and accompaniment, medical accompaniment, individual advocacy, safety and goal planning, referral to/collaboration with other community resources, systems advocacy, 24-hour hotline assistance, options counseling, and filing of Protection from Abuse petitions. Additionally, the Client Advocate must be able to contribute, communicate effectively, and work well in a group setting to facilitate collaborative and trauma-informed direct client services. The Client Advocate is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law.

POSITION SUMMARY
YWCA Safe Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing direct services to victims of domestic violence in Adams and York Counties, Pennsylvania. Safe Home strives to empower clients to achieve their self-defined goals and to support their ability to obtain and maintain their personal safety. The Housing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing at least 2 Housing Advocates in their efforts to assist victims of domestic violence experiencing homelessness in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing in locations in both Adams and York Counties. The Housing Supervisor guides Housing Advocates in providing case management in line with Safe Home’s policies and procedures in a trauma-informed manner in adherence with Housing First and harm reduction principles to ensure that service recipients are treated in an empowering, dignified, and sensitive manner. The Housing Supervisor may also engage in direct client services. The Housing Supervisor will assist the Director of DV Services and Assistant Director with administrative tasks related to program management, including documentation, report writing, and other tasks as assigned.

The following information regarding insured benefits are subject to the terms, conditions, restrictions and other eligibility requirements set forth in the formal agreements provided to each eligible employee. Benefit options offered by the YWCA Hanover are designed to address the diverse personal, financial and family needs of the YWCA Hanover’s staff.
Employees are eligible for each of the following benefits on the 1st day of the month following 60 days of employment.

GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE

  • Employees working thirty (30) hours or more are eligible to participate in the group health (medical) plan.
  • YWCA Hanover will pay 80% of the total premium and the employee is responsible to pay 20%.
  • The employee is responsible for 100% of the cost for dependent coverage, if elected.

DENTAL/VISION INSURANCE

  • Employees working thirty (30) hours or more are eligible to participate in the group health (dental/vision) plan.
  • Available to employees, at cost.

LIFE, SHORT-TERM DISABILITY, LONGTERM DISABILITY INSURANCE

  • Employees working thirty-five (35) hours or more are eligible for life and disability benefits:
  • YWCA Hanover pays 100% of the total premium for this coverage.

RETIREMENT PLAN

  • All employees of the YWCA Hanover may be eligible to participate in the YWCA Retirement Fund.
  • An employee is fully vested following 2 years (24 months of consecutive employment) and having worked 2,000 hours.

PROGRAM DISCOUNTS

  • YWCA Hanover offers enrollment in the YWCA childcare programs at a discounted rate. Discounted rate is evaluated each fiscal year and subject to change.
